Safe and Effective?

We’ve all used aspirin or other NSAIDs like ibuprofen and naproxen from time to time. Once in a while, when you have pain you can’t deal with, it can provide relief. But what about using aspirin/NSAIDs for prolonged periods more than once a week, or daily, or multiple times per day? Two things to consider:

  1. It obviously isn’t curing the problem.

  2. It may be damaging your stomach, small intestine, and kidneys.

Look at these stats:

  • Over 100,000 people hospitalized per year for gastrointestinal bleeding (stomach and small intestine) from overuse of aspirin, with as many as 20,000 of these episodes being fatal.

  • Prolonged high dose aspirin use is associated with chronic kidney failure.

So, what is TOO Much?

This is a topic of debate because the damaging effects can be different from one person to the next. The important thing to realize is that if you have become dependent on aspirin/NSAID use multiple times a week, for weeks, or months, or years, you are at risk.

Get down to the root of it!!!

Chronic pain from things like headache and arthritis is not caused by a lack of aspirin/NSAID! There are underlying causes that if properly addressed can cure, or relieve such conditions naturally. The two major causes are mechanical joint dysfunction, and chronic inflammation.

Prolonged stress on our posture, and injuries can cause the joints between bones of the spine to dysfunction, resulting in a wide variety of painful conditions. Chiropractic adjustments can correct this kind of painful dysfunction.

We can NEVER medicate ourselves back to health. Drugs, lotions, and potions that mask symptoms, over time, can do way more harm than good… even something as simple as aspirin.
