Welcome back! Today’s message ties in well with all of my prior newsletters espousing a Paleo type diet - one rich in animal protein and animal fat. It has been shown scientifically that eating such foods while eliminating sugar, processed foods, all grain (wheat, corn, rice, etc.) legumes (beans) and most dairy products lowers inflammation. Inflammation is at the root of all the most severe diseases that plague us.

A 2025 publication from McMaster University highlights a large research study on eating habits and concluded that animal protein consumption (to include red meat) resulted in no increased mortality risk (lowered lifespan), to include no added risk of cancer; and in fact, such consumption may actually lower cancer risk by a measurable margin. The misguided war on cholesterol is where all of the anti-animal protein/fat nonsense came from. And it is out of this nonsense that we find all of the advocates for plant-based diets that limit or exclude animal fats and protein. What we have learned, and what the science backs, is that it is inflammatory plant-based seed oils, sugars, and starches that have been driving the epidemics of chronic inflammatory diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis.
